President - Scott Jones, P.E. is the founder of Key Performance Initiatives, Inc. Mr. Jones has 30 years of management experience, the last 9 of which have been in quality management positions, including two Fortune 500 companies. He is a leader in implementing systematic management systems that drive business excellence. He has a proven track record in implementing processes and strategies that improve customer satisfaction and deliver bottom line results. His experience extends across a variety of industries and includes work improving quality systems in Mexico. As a Master Black Belt, he recently initiated a Six Sigma program for a Fortune 500 company. Mr. Jones also has experience with implementing quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and AAR M.1003. As part of these implementations, Mr. Jones has taught classes in process management, policy deployment, problem solving, and statistics. He has coached a variety of teams, including problem-solving teams, DMAIC and DMADV teams, and process management teams. He has also facilitated leadership and strategic planning meetings for senior managers. Mr. Jones is an honor graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy, and retired from the Coast Guard with the rank of Commander. Mr. Jones also has a master of science in chemical engineering from the University of Maryland, and is a registered professional engineer. In addition, Mr. Jones has received extensive training in quality management, industrial statistics, SPC, and Six Sigma. Mr. Jones is a member of the American Society for Quality, a former member of the Railway Progress Institute Quality Assurance Committee, and a former Board Member of the Deming Study Group of Dallas. Mr. Jones is a Senior Member of the Board of Examiners for the Texas Award for Performance Excellence.
